Villa Ballati is a beautiful 18th century heirloom villa. The two-storey villa may accomodate up to ten guests. Additional accommodation for 2 persons is available in the independent ensuite apartment Ballatina on the ground-floor of the Villa.

Located on the grounds of the Grotti Castle, the Villa has been completely renovated and is comprised of:

• Ground floor:
  • living room with fireplace

  • large kitchen with dishwasher
  • 1 bathroom
• Upper floor:
  • 2 sitting rooms
  • 2 double bedrooms
  • 3 twin bedrooms (2 beds each)
  • 2 bathroom

The ground floor of the Villa includes a large living room with an open fireplace and a separate dining room. On the other side of the entrance is the large independent kitchen and an independent bathroom with shower.

The ceilings are vaulted with exposed brick; cotto-tiled floors. Antique pieces of furniture add to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the Villa.
An antique staircase of typical Sienese travertine leads to the upper floor. Two living-rooms; five bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Two of the bedrooms (one enjoying an ensuite bathroom) have queen-sized beds. The other three are twin-bedded rooms. Exposed beams throughout; cotto-tiled floors. "Picture" views from the upper-floor windows include the Siena skyline and the Chianti area hills.

The Villa has centralized heating making this venue an all-year-round pleasant vacation resort. Laundry facilities available upon request.
The villa looks out onto a grassy lawn that has the Castello di Grotti profile as its backdrop. Open air living on the grounds adjacent to the Villa planted with evergreens, irises, lavender, and a pergola.
One km away is the village of Ville di Corsano with restaurant, bar, post-office and supermarket.

Distances; from Siena 12 kms.; from Firenze (Florence) 80 kms.; from Grosseto 63 Km. One may easily make day-trips to some of the most beautiful sites of Tuscany: e.g. to Pienza (50 kms,); Monteriggioni (32 Kms); San Gimignano (46 kms); the Abbey of San Galgano (32 kms); or visit the medieval towns in the Val di Merse.

The recent archaeological excavations at Murlo - an ancient Etruscan site - are only 11 kms away.
The area is well-known for its thermal waters. Some spas offering day-access to their premises are in Bagni di Petriolo ( 21 Kms); Bagno Vignoni (45 Kms): San Casciano dei Bagni (90 kms); Saturnia (115 kms).
